Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
„Epigenetic Vulnerabilities in Intrapersonal Failure“ is the second release of Buried in a Womb. In my opinion, there is a big difference between „Prenatal Suicide“ and this one. „Prenatal Suicide“ had a depressed and dramatical atmosphere with a melanchlolic lyrical story. This album is a raw, emotional and genuine output with a pissed-off and filthy attitude. The songs are more crustcore-oriented and the production is quite dirty. I´m very happy with this album because it sounds like I am.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
I would describe it as a mixture of Melodic Black Metal , Crust Punk/D-Beat and Thrashing Death Metal, or as a friend of mine described it: „Just imagine BLASPHEMY savagely bashing WOLFPACK’S heads while listening to Mozart and you’ll get the idea!“
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The whole album was written in the studio and recorded in a short time. The album was created in 2-3 months. I barricaded myself in the studio and did not do anything other than music during that time. It was a little experiment and I wanted a spontaneous, genuine and emotional album without a lot of rationality. I used a lot of first takes and this way of songwriting and recording made this album very intense.
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover artwork shows the NSW fire brigade, trying on new gas masks. In the times we live today, it whould be a good idea, if we try on, new gas masks as well, in a symbolical way.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Actually, I´m expecting nothig. I never expected that this project becomes a big name in the scene or something like that. I just want to express myself, my emotions, my throughts thru music. That´s it.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
At the moment, the album is available digitally only, distributed via Sepulchral Silence but I would like to make a vinyl version in the next time but only if there is a demand.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
I only sent some promotional CD´s to a few webzines. Who should hear from the album, will find it somehow.
Where can we order it from?
You can order it from the Bandcamp page: https://buriedinawomb.bandcamp.com/ releases or from all digital stores like Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer etc.
