Review:
Well, well, a new band from Poland which, unlike so many others from that country that have opted for a Black Metal path, plays Melodic Death Metal, the Gothemburg style-like, based on excellent Heavy quitar work, energetic rhythm section, enchanting keyboards and vicious vocals. The surprise is even bigger when seeing they went for an independent release for this debut album of theirs even though I'm sure they would have had absolutely no problem finding a suitable label to lend a helping hand. Lately I've seen a lack of new blood in this Melodic Death Metal field, not sure if that was actually the case, but my perception was the style somehow stagnated, but here's some new material from Poland that sounds hungry for success, honest and mighty determined to threaten Children of Bodom's throne. 9 tracks, almost 40 minutes of Melodic Death Metal, but not the stale type, a fresh, mostly fast paced and bursting kind of Melodic Death Metal highlighted by the already mentioned energy and clever melodies, but also by a complex, surprising at times guitar section that sounds like we're dealing here with a pinnacle of a band's career, yet this is just the band's debut; the vocal part is also varied and versatile, and the overall atmosphere is impressive, tight and infectious. One of the best albums I've heard this year, very, very impressive work, make sure you check it out yourselves!
