Review:
Seville based Death Metal quartet with one of the coolest logos ever Murderworker are back 3 years after the release of their debut album, one I remember I liked quite a lot, with a new studio material made of 10 tracks and clocking almost 40 minutes of playing time. Uncompromising and unaltered Death Metal is what the band offers again to its listeners, no serious influences from other genres, just a mix of Death Metal schools (Swedish, US and even UK flavours) delivered with brutality, mid-tempo to fast speed, and a gore movies atmosphere surrounding the whole. The vocals have also an interesting direction, dragging to a point you feel they might loose the pace, but that actually gives the impression of a cold-blooded murderer, to me it reminds of movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and that's exactly what I believe the band aims for, so from my point of view this is an extraordinary feat. I'm only sorry the band failed to deliver more guitar solos this time, too, I believe they might add more flavour and variety to the whole yet still keeping it brutal as planned. All in all an excellent album of pure Death Metal that will satisfy the die-hard fans, even without bringing anything new or innovative to the scene, but I guess that's not what the band targets anyway.
