Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The project "Fangtooth" was born in 2007. A few years later, in 2011, we recorded our first self-titled full length. In 2014 we are releasing our second full length: " we dive into the dark",  under Jolly Rogers Records. The band members have always been fans of Doom metal, but we come from different experiences: death metal, black metal and 80's metal. In our view these different influences characterize our sound and contribute to create our personal sound.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
As said before, we come from different musical experiences. We love all (or almost all) the metal scene, from the more traditional genres to extreme ones, but we even love  70's prog music (in Italy there are many examples of great bands that play this style). People who listen to our music usually says are main influences are bands like Saint Vitus, Candlemass, Trouble, Paradise Lost and the like.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
One reason is that we write our music putting our soul in it, every composition reflects our visions. Another reason is that a record label has focused on us and has produced our record ... at least trust them! The most important reason is that we need cash to buy the strings for our guitars.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Our discography consists of two full-lengths, the 2011’s self-titled and the new "... as we dive into the dark". The feedback received from the media and the public was quite good and motivating. When our first album came out we were pleasantly surprised by the interest and by the good words spent about us…we hope that the second album will receive at least the same support.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Playing live is one thing that we like a lot, but it is not always easy to find good places to play ...doom is a kind of music that is not everybody’s cup of tea.
In any case, in October we will have the honor of opening the Malta Doom Metal Fest, a beautiful festival, with great bands, in a beautiful country with a fantastic and inspiring scene.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I do not know why, but it is. As long as it will be, it means that we are doing something good.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We plan to record another full length or an EP. We have tons of riffs and good ideas to play at their best. Another thing we want to do is to intensify the live activity.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
All those who want to buy our stuff can visit the website of our label: or via private message to our page
In any case, buy it only if you like! You can have an idea about our sound by listenning our songs on youtube or on bandcamp. Thanks for the support, DooM on!
