Review:
Wow, far more aggressive than I thought are these 5 thrashers from Switzerland on their second full-length album, Jackhammer, and that's mostly due to the vocal compartment, a mix between Black'n'Roll type of high-pitched vocals and semi-growls like a mix between Groove Metal and Death Metal styled tonalities. We get here 10 tracks in a bit over 40 minutes of playing time mixing all sort of tasty influences within their Thrash Metal salad; and again we're talking about mixes as Final Cut seem to enjoy throwing in all their influences and ideas so that the result is fast paced inspired by '80's German Thrash legends, or groovy inspired by American monsters, and all of this under a "feel-good" atmosphere like the cover artwork perfectly expresses. The albums flows quite smooth from start to finish, without too many surprising moments or elements apart from the few harmonica passages here and there that add some Western flavor to the pot and a few technical solos from both guitar and bass. Good album, fun-oriented, fast and headbanging-friendly, curdled, if you're into Thrash Metal try it out.
