Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Soul Raptoris our third third full length, and and our eighth studio work. Composed of ten tracks, the album is inspired by what we have seen during the pandemic delirium, focusing on the aberrated conduct of people, totally blundering by the news from all kinds of media sewer; with the mental alienation to which we are brought and subjected by social networks, information and media, the worst of the people came out. Songs like Social Fakework, Lobotomy, Brainwashing fully enclose this concept, but also Distorted Personality, Induced Existence, Ego Psychotic express the consequences of this bombardment of false and piloted information; all ends with an instrumental piece, slow and cadenced, like a fire that as a final act burns and annihilates everything.
We are very satisfied with the final result of this work, also because it was not easy to record it because of the restrictions of the last two years, which made us work mostly at a distance, but in the end we reached the sound we wanted for it
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
We describe our music as Brutal Hate Metal, this because we are of clear matrix death metal, but we do not stick to any standard canon, nor do we care to be labeled, ours was always an outlet, a social criticism, vent and total Repulsion for all those Attitudes and for all those people who day after day bastardizes every sphere and aspect of the human world... all this shouted in the universal language of extreme metal
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The album was recorded mixed and mastered at Sound Farm Studio in Italy, the studio of our guitarist Glk. We have always recorded our albums from him, and we always will, because he has always been able to get the right sound for every album we have done. As I said before it was not easy to record this record, because of the distance between us guys we worked a lot by sending us files ideas and tests, and starting all during 2020, without deadlines or limits, slowly and with much patience and dedication, and thanks to the work in the studio by Glk precisely, we have achieved the desired result
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover was made by Angelo Lo Torto, an Italian artist, it was enough to tell him what we had in mind, and what the album was about, and immediately he faithfully brought it back on paper. We wanted to represent a factory of mass manipulation, where humans are transported on tapes through which machines in turn fill his head with piloted information, turning them into automata... it’s what happens in reality, where various electronic devices through the display wash manipulate and reprogram our brains. This is the common thread of which all the traces speak, that is, the complete subjection to which we are subjected to social media networks and information in general. By now we are unable to think with our heads, unable to develop a critical and objective judgment, and completely drunk with fake news and false idols.
The message of the music of Zora is a social criticism, vent and total repulsion for all those attitudes and for all those people who day after day bastardizes every sphere and aspect of the human world. It is in this perspective that Zora focuses his message in the slogan "Scream Your Hate, and that's exactly what our music and our message are about, it be must say everything we think, and strongly, ever !
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
In reality we have never made expectations about our works, we play and produce albums for the pleasure of doing so, it certainly makes you receive spaces and consents, but our aim is to cultivate our passion and continue to shout our message. Right now the goal is to run and promote this new work as much as possible, and in the meantime a new release is planned within a year, probably a split cd.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The album was released on CD by three labels, Maxima Music Pro (ID) Wings of Destruction (RU) and Old Metal Rites (BR). Each one has 300 copies printed, and each one has some detail different from the others, so 3 versions of press.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
Certainly on the net, the labels themselves distribute it through their stores and at the major digital channels, and when and if it will be possible with some live, even if the current situation does not allow it.
Where can we order it from?
The album can be ordered directly to our www.zora.bandcamp.com channel, where you can also find all our other works, or directly in the stores of the labels that have published it.
