Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was created by Gordon (Guitars) in 2007, but really came to life in 2009 with a new name. The line-up was almost complete: Gordon (guitars), Robin (drums), and Alexis (bass). In the end of 2009, and after several inconclusive castings, Melmoth is recruited as vocalist. The first EP, called "Antropofago" is released. In february 2010, the line-up is completed with Sebastien, firstly as a live guitarist, then as a whole Antropofago member. The "Ravenous" video is made a few weeks later. Some unreleased tracks are also offered to the internet fans, so that they can wait for the upcoming album. In april 2010, Robin (drums) quits Antropofago, and is replaced by Vincent (Twilight Opus, Seelentod). Now the band is recording "Timor Oris", the upcoming full-length album.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our music is definitely Death Metal, with some brutal and/or technical sides. The bands that influenced us are mainly extreme metal bands, from Loudblast to Death, but so much others as well...
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we want to present something honest, but original in the same time. Death Metal in France is beginning to have some great representatives, and we hope to be part of them one day...
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
For the moment, we only have the EP released in january, plus those three bonus tracks released before the album. "Antropofago" (EP) was very well recieved, by the media as well as for the public. The reviews made so far are more than acceptable for a simple demo.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Unfortunately, we haven't had the opportunity to play live yet. We had a lot of proposals, but couldn't afford this for several reasons (lack of drummer, etc...). But now we are forming our new drummer, and we will be able to kick asses on stage pretty soon.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are looking for a label / distributor. We have a full length album already recorded, as well as the layout, and we are looking for someone to distribute it.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Release "Timor Oris", be it under a label or not. Make some fucking lives. Release a new video.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
