Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was formed in August 2004 with the name "Tornado" by me (Thanassis Plagkas)! In 2006 we were finally in our complete line up with me (guitars,vocals), STELIOS STAYROPOULOS (drums), GIANNIS ANAGNOSTOU (guitars) ALEX (bass guitar) and recorded our first demo which is a live rehearsal! After a year ALEX left the band and THANOS MOURKOUTAS (bass) joined! Then we entered the studio to record our first full length album "FIRE AT WILL" and start performing some (local) gigs to promote it! Currently, i am the only remainer from the old line up and performing with some non permanent members until there is another permanent members. i also working on some new stuff!
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Not difficault to say i suppose..i would describe our style as a bay aera speed/thrash metal with a modern touch and some heavy/power fillings as well! Megadeth, Metallica, Exodus, Annihilator, are the bands that mostly inspired us!
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
I believe a metalhead will have some good time and will enjoy every single moment of our album and that's because of the sound and the feeling it have!
Also we play kinda crossover i would say (that's how i see the songs) and that means that our songs will like to a metalhead nomatter what kind of metal fan he/she is!
Generally metalheads wanna hear something new that is influenced from their favourite bands..you know like the new blood of their fav bands, because they can't hear the same old songs for a life! So for the fans of the bands that inspired us and mostly the Megadeth fans i think that it is imposed to buy our album! For us the most important reason is that they will encourage us to go farther!
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media? Until now, we only have our debut album "Fire at will" in release and we are happy that the public and media warmly welcomed it! There are many great reviews from several webzines and magazines and many positive critics from the main public as well.
The highlight is the title of our album as the suggest of the month from the Greek Metal hammer magazine (march 2010)!
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
The first 3 years the band wasn't active on stage because of the many line up changes! Finally the last 2 years and after the recordings for the album, the band went through some gigs! The last one was in November 2010! We only had some local gigs in the underground level with some other local bands. Nothing bigger worthly to tell about..yet! However there was some great times in those gigs and we actually got the experiense and confidence to perform in something bigger!
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I suppose they sould know about our love in metal music, creativity, inspiring the people, they also sould know the situation we are going through and we try to survive in order to do what we love! They should know about our songs and the rates they have! They also sould know that we are Haterain..and they sould know that they will hear more about us in the future!
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Currently the band is in touch with a record label to release the "Fire at will" album. We'll start perform some more gigs to promote the album and also some new stuff is in progress!
