Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
the three of us met through mutual friends in local bands and began playing punk and metal covers around town, after about a year, we met matt when we recorded his band {sedated mind] at my home studio. We jammed and traded some ideas that turned into our first demo and continued to write and play for about a year before recording our first EP "hideous appetites"
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
we're trying to be as free as possible with songwriting, no limits on style or influence and infuse some of our "non-metal" influences in to our "metal" sound.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
cuz there's lots of classic metal in what we do, the sound is where we come from so it's pretty hard to deny it's in there. We just hope the listener isn't weirded out by our "non-metalhead" aspects.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
our original demo was self produced and quite well recieved but the media attention we've been getting about our first EP has been fantastic, very kind words ineed.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We love to play live, and for the last two years or more we've played 3-4 live gigs a month, this year has been great for us with the C.O.C. and GREEN JELLY shows, and we hope next year leads to bigger and better shows as well.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
That we're 4 very funny, friendly, creative guys that love playing music and making friends. The thing I enjoy about "us" is the lack of pretentiousness, no ego's, no makeup, no schtick, we're just 4 dude who want to make good music that we enjoy playing, and have a entertaining show.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Record and release another album this winter and tour, tour, TOUR! hopefully 2013 will be our year to break out.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
December 2012
