Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Sepulchre Of Man consists of band members that have been in multiple live bands and studio projects, and we therefore consider it a supergroup. The line up is as follows:
Alec Larsen (bass/vocals), also in Surdus, Forsaking Fate, Omentum
Dave Dippenaar (drums), also in Psordid, Nerve Zero, Omentum
Simon Werner (guitars/backing vox), also in Surdus, Lesuth, Omentum

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Symphonic death metal, with a touch of black metal on the side. This biggest influence on the band is Septicflesh but we also look up to artists that include orchestration, including Dimmu Borgir, Carach Angren and Shadow Of Intent.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
The upcoming album, and future albums, are concept albums - they tell an interesting story through catchy orchestration, crushy guitars and brutal vocals. The music is epic.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We're releasing our first single on January 14, accompanied by a lyric video. And the album should be available later in 2021.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
The goal is to play live but our country (South Africa) is currently under lockdown because of Covid-19. Hopefully we'll be able to do a local tour to promote the album when it is released.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We're a three piece death metal outfit that sounds like an army. The orchestration will lend itself to an epic live show and we're excited to release music and see how people react.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Hopefully touring when Covid-19 is less prevalent. Also albums and merch etc.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
There's a presave link for the upcoming single:
We also have a teespring store for merch:
