Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We started in 2014. Stuart (bassist) wanted to get together and jam some death metal covers for fun, which we did. I (Andy - guitar/vocals) really enjoyed playing again, so i asked Gary to take over drums as he’s a cracking drummer and has lots of touring experience. It kinda escalated to a serious project pretty quickly and became The Crawling.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
To be it’s doom/death metal. Influences would include My Dying Bride, Anathema, Bolt thrower, Katatonia. I really like those slower paced death metal bands that have a really dark edge.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Everyone needs music they can relate to, and escape with. The Crawling provides music to accompany those dark days.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Choking on Concrete (single)
In Light of Dark Days (EP)
Anatomy of Loss (album)
Wolves and the Hideous White (album)
Critically we’ve done very well; media response has all been very positive a few “album of the month” accolades which was very cool. Cd’s and merch have sold pretty well, and the streaming numbers are good for both Spotify and Apple iTunes.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, we love to play live; but our location restricts us as it’s expensive to travel from Ireland. We’ve played some amazing shows to date; Bloodstock, Inferno, Metal Days, Uprising, Siege of Limerick, Incinerationfest stand out.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are a band made of metal fans, doing music we love with a completely honest approach. I think people really pick up on it, and it comes across on Cd, and particularly our live show.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Release our new album, get some shows booked, and play some heavy metal.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen on all major streaming services, and we would appreciate if you bought stuff directly from our bandcamp []. You can also purchase from and other online retailers.
