Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.Brood Of Hatred was brought together in 2010 by Mohamed Melki (me). The project came after an extensive experience in the Tunisian Metal scene throught which I played with numerous Extreme Metal Bands. Brood Of Hatred started as a solo project but it didn't take long before I found members who are ready to commit to the band.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
It's clear that we are a Death Metal band, still we like to experiment with atmosphere and sometimes add some progressive elements to the music. We are mostly influenced but what I like to call Old-school Metal including bands such as Death, Gorguts, Morbid Angel and by newer bands such as Ulcerate.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We don't think that metalheads should buy our music, it's more important that they listen to it and enjoy it and if they really want to support us in our path they should come to our concerts and watch us live.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media ?
We have released our first EP, called "NEW ORDER OF INTELLIGENCE" in March 2012, followed by our first Album "SKINLESS AGONY" later in the same year.
Do you play live as well ? How's your live activity so far?
The band is currently active, yet we still haven't done any live gigs in Tunisia because of the lack of any proper organization. This doesn't mean that we do not aim to perform on a local, national or international level.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?They should know that we play music for music, and those people should be interested in us because we are the only active extrem metal band in Tunisia after the revolution and it wasn't an easy task to achieve any of what we did if it wasn't because of our determination, conviction and our love of the music that we play.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We have a new clip coming in the next months for "skinless agony" the sixth track from the eponymous new Album which is still not finished as we're still looking for a label, and we plan on playing some gigs abroad during 2013, nothing is yet confirmed but we will publish any news soon.Other than that we will keep headbanging like mad beasts while playing more apocalyptic riffs and growling about the death of the universe.
