Got this from my friend Vilcin, who's a collaborator at folk24.pl, a sponsor of the release apparently, and although it's not our territory I have to say a few words on it, obviously. 
Inspired by the Folk music from Upper Silesia, Krzikopa managed to blend on this debut album of theirs (in the meantime they have released a new one in 2020) a ton of influences from genres as diverse and distanced as Electro, D'n'B, and Rock (at times even Metal influences are to be heard, but without the heavy riffs, only on drums), and a ton of other contemporary music, all onto a Folk and Neo-Folk base. The vocal female duo reminded me of Belarussian Znich, without the Metal side of it, obviously, and the violin and accordion parts reminded me of Romanian Phoenix, but it's quite clear Krzikopa have their own way, their own sound and I wouldn't be surprised if they become a major player in the Polish Neo-Folk scene in case they are not yet. Atmosphere-wise the album is quite upbeat and happy, but there are also some moments (tracks) with a darker, or better said melancholic side to them. I've spined it multiple times and I'm not bored at all by it, so if you're into this kind of music, too, I'd recommend to give it a try yourselves.
