Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
It all began back in late 2017 as a non formal project between Eduardo (guitar) and Giancarlo (vocals). it was supposed to be just a personal project that would be shared perhaps only with our closest friends. We had some riff ideas and draft songs but it wasn’t until 2019 that we decided to take it to a more serious level. It was then that Pedro joined the band and we began to write more songs following a concept we already had in mind. As part of a schedule we decided to release our first single “The Fractal Phenomenon” in October of that same year but we couldn’t release our finished EP Becoming Immanence until 2021 because of the pandemic. That period of time though gave us the opportunity to refine and re-track our songs. Currently we are promoting our EP, which was self managed (from demo, through mix and master, to Cover Art) and was self released on October 7th this year.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We’d say atmospheric black metal with a solid inclination towards musical narrative. We’ve had and have several bands that have forged or influenced our style. Our creating and writing methodology constantly feeds from references in and outside metal or extreme music, but if we’d have to pick the most relevant artists and bands to us, not only because of their music but because their disruptiveness, aesthetics and constancy, then we'd say 1349 because they're always redefining black metal, Ulcerate because their exploration towards dissonance, Naas Alcameth’s projects (Akhlys, Aoratos, Bestia Arcana, Nightbringer) because the constant creation of dark atmospheres and chaotic passages, and last but not least Derg Weg Einer Freihet because their unique way of building emotion within brutality.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
The commercial side of music and creation isn’t actually the most fashionable but we sort of can’t escape from it. So we have to embrace it and transform it into something that is positive for both us the musicians and the audience. So we believe in translating the support into something new, new songs, new material, new experiences. If someone feels something special about our music and feels connected to it, then that’s why you could consider buying stuff from us. We’ll work as hard as we can to pay back with hard work for sure.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
In 2019 we released our first single “The Fractal Phenomenon”. We received some nice comments about the song but the truth is that we were not actually happy with the sound we’ve got back then. We felt like the response from the public was proportional to our levels of satisfaction. But that release was huge for us, it was eyeopener. We then realized that if we wanted a much better reception we needed to work harder and so we did. Through the lockdown days we had to learn to deal with the situation and put the hours needed into our EP. And that’s how we got to a point where we were finally happy with the songs, the sound, the lyrics, the whole vibe of Becoming Immanence. We were ready to release it to the world. The Gathering was our first new single and it was very well received. We took that good response as a good sign for the whole EP and indeed we have been doing really great. So far we’ve had many awesome reviews from around the world, many great comments from the public as well. It is quite satisfying to read to all of them people connecting with our music in such a special way. It fills us with emotion and eagerness to keep doing what we love. 

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We haven’t played live yet actually because of the pandemic but we’ll get to the stages as soon as the circumstances allow it. In the meantime we are prepping some audiovisual material that includes a live performance. Won’t be the same as being face to face but we feel like sharing the experience in a much organic way could be really special.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We think we’re part of a new wave of South American bands making their way through the global scene and giving their own perspective and interpretation of the genre. We see ourselves as part of that movement and build our style and sound upon our relation with nature and vitalism, a concept very much intertwined with our country’s worldview, which is also shared with many cultures from this part of the continent. We try to integrate this point of view in our writing process and experiment a lot in order to create different musical landscapes, all of this in a very DIY fashion. This has allowed us to have total control and freedom in each step on the making process of our EP, from the demos, through recording, mix and mastering, and even up to the art work and promotion. 

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We’re about to close a deal to make CD copies of our EP. Hopefully we’ll be able to do the same with different formats such as Vinyl and Cassettes. Also we just released our first batch of Merch and that’s something we’d like to keep on working and creating new designs. Besides the audiovisual content we mentioned above we do want to go back to play live but that’s something that’s more likely to happen next year. And finally we’re already working on new music. We’ve been playing with some concepts and ideas to write upon and reckon that our first Album could be out around the second half of 2022. There has also been some conversations about doing another EP prior to that but with a much more experimental and cinematic vibe as a sort of continuation of both our tracks Cosmic and Ulterior Revelation. We’ll see how time works for us.
