Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Hi. Well, not much to tell about a "history" of Theianism. I started this project on September 3rd, 2010, discussed with some guys from other cities for a long-distance line-up, but styles differ and they seem more preoccupied with other things than this band, so it is most probably this will remain a one-man-project for some time.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Theianism's genre is "Floridian" Old-School Death Metal, or what I like to call 'Old-School Death Metal the way it should be'. Influenced by bands such as Six Feet UNdeR, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Lowbrow, Broken Hope, Cannibal Corpse, Decapitated, Benediction, Bolt Thrower, Obituary, Banished, Baphomet, Judecca, Sinister and Vomiturition.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because I invested and will keep investing money, time, effort, originality and soul into my work, because my work is done my way and the final product is a piece of art and not a piece of shit, because the final product will always be a professional one and a pure form of cerebral music made for cerebral people only, not senseless brutality to impress pre-teen cunts! Theianism doesn't fuck around and will never let down any Old-School Death Metal fan! If you respect yourself as a metalhead, you will support bands who respect you, not morons who jam drum sticks up their shitholes while on stage! A metalhead should buy Theianism's demos and/or albums because that's what keeps the band alive and a band is nothing and less than nothing without fans! I made Theianism exist; now you can help me either keep it active if you like it, or let it go flushing down the toilet if you're a fuckin' poser! That's why !!!
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?I haven't released anything so far, but I'm working on the first demo and look for a record label in the same time. As far as the rehearsal samples I've uploaded on MySpace, friends and people who know me in person raised their eyebrows and smiled in a funny way when they herd that Theianism is my band!
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
No live shows so far. We'll see when I'll find the other "missing" members if you know what I mean!
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I use only good old classic open-throat growling vocals and don't squeal like a fuckin' pig or scream like I have mental problems, there are rhythmic solos within the songs and not cats being slaughtered, I use a lot of palm-muted riffing which adds up to a dynamic sound kept by a muddy bass guitar and technical drumming somehow "sepulturish" (or Sepultura-like) while blast beats are completely absent as they don't have anything to do with Old-School Death Metal! People should know that Theianism is 100% PURE "Floridian" Old-School Death Metal!
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
No actual plans mostly because things get improved on the way of recording the first demo which hopefully will get Theianism signed with a stable and experienced record label.
