Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
First thanks a lot for this interview. The new Release “The Last Defence” is our fifth Album and it is mainly a mix of Deathmetal and Grindcore. There are some shorter Grind songs and longer Songs, in which the Deathmetal prevails. We are very happy with the final release, because in our opinion the sound of this beast is quiet perfect for this kind of music.   

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Like a tank knocks you down or a beast released from its chains  We don t know, if it sounds like anything that could be heard before. Surely we do not reinvent the wheel, but actually we are not one for the PR and Reviews comparisons with other bands. Certainly there is a reason for that and gives people maybe an imagination how a band sounds like. But there is also the danger awaking false expectations. We believe that Keitzer has its own Style, which gives us a strong recognizability. 

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The Last Defence was recorded, mixed and mastered at the Soundlodge Studio with Jörg Uken. The whole work was done in 2 ½ Weekends, because we were prepared well. Furthermore we have found an Expert with Jörg Uken. He works very professional, but stays the whole time relaxed and cool, so we felt very comfortable during these sessions.  Any interesting stories did not happened or are top secret ;), but we had a real great time. After work we had some beers, shots or red wine with Jörg and his wife, that helped relaxing. We were a little bit sad as the work was done and we had to leave the studio.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover artwork is a modification of a picture, which Christian had found or the artwork was inspired by this picture. This album is not a classic concept-album, but the main topic is war, especially the crusades. You can see some rotten crusaders flocking together for “the last defence”. A friend of Christian, Florian Furtkamp, designed this art work and in our point of view, he did a great job. We like this so much, that we asked him to design a new shirt-motive. To be honest, this is the first time that we have any lyrics and we are glad about this decision, because the lyrics give this songs more depth and brutality. Naturally they are all about war. You can see that already at the song titles. But the lyrics are very reserved and rhetorical. In this kind of music we see the vocals rather as an extra instrument than a mouthpiece for messages. The music has the highest priority. 

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Oh we hope to gain a lot of new fans and to play a lot of gigs. Actually almost all reviews are marvelous and it seems that the people like this release. We have an open mind about playing a lot of gigs. So everybody who want to book us, please contact us immediately at kaziklubey(AT)gmx.de. 

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
This album is released in multiple formats. You can get it as CD, LP and Download. I think that the first press of the CD is an edition of 1000, first press of LPs are 500; 400 black and 100 red vinyls... 

Where and how will you promote this new release?
We promote this release at facebook. Rico from our label F.D.A. Rekotz promote this album in many zines, internet etc. There is a video with the Song “This is the only Solution”, you can find it on youtube. We work with the PR-Company Clawhammer PR, doing a lot of interviews and there already existing a lot of reviews in the internet, just search for it and you ll find a lot.
