Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Lacination was formed early February 2001 by founders David Arredondo and Joe Deleon, we wanted to compose a heavy oriented metal band early on and our sound just got more refine over the years. We had a couple of band personal changes over the years, and the band went thru some hard changes but we persevere and kept the music flowing and did things our way and made music the way we felt was right to us and currently we have a strong line-up.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I would have to say our style is and always will be Death Metal...we have always try to incorporate different ideas such as Brutal riffs, Key tempo changes, and Melodic rhythm passages throughout our musicand we all have different styles of musical taste within Lacination and that does bring different ideas and helps us write our music. Too many bands to list as our influences as we have a broad spectrum of musical taste within the band, If I had to pick a handful of influences they would be:Death,Obituary, At the Gates, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse,Merciful Fate, Morbid Angel,Suffocation, Dying Fetus.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released 3 CD's...beginning with our first cd titled "Unholy Trinity" in early 2001, "Clone the Holy" in 2002, and "Darkness Reborn" in 2004...we have had our music played on local metal stations and are currently on Reverbnation..they have been received well, and we are currently working on our long-awaited follow up CD this year....not yet titled.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?We always thrive on playing live...anywhere venue, anytime time is our way of approaching this. We appreciate all the feedback and support and playing to our fans out there...that means so much to us a band, and currently we booking more shows out of our city to spread our music to the masses!! What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are looking for label support and allowing us to move up and help us move our music out there even more. A label should be interested in LACINATION because I feel we have accomplish our own style of Melodic Death Metal..and being hungry to prove it means that we wont stop until everyone hears us!!
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Our plans right now is to complete our CD and promote it heavily out there, every where. And just keep playing live shows and make more music, label support is always in our interest and never stopping the madness.

The best place to hear our music is on reverbnation and on our facebook, our merchandise can be purchase thru various outlets in San Antonio,TX (Hogwild Records and Ampus Recording Studios) and always at our shows too...we are planning on releasing more merch when it is available to us later on this year.
