Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Fjörd was created in late 2256 of the Runic Era (2006) by Wodansson and Orgoth. In fall 2259 after the album was released it was discussed that the two musicians would part ways for personal reasons and so Wodansson continues the band with a new line up tat will be announced on the official web site.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Fjörd plays Wotanic Folk Metal. Our main influences and similar style bands are Storm, Isengard, Hades, and Bathory. Without sounding the same we have recreated the olden spirit of folk metal like it seldom heard these days.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
A "metalhead” might nottruly understand Fjörd completely, yet, might enjoy our basic sound. The individual who can appreciate a strong and powerful cultural message as well as its deep spirituality will find more in Fjörd than mere "Viking metal” music.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
In 2257 we released a demo CD called Vinlandic Northern Heritage. It is sold out. In fall of 2259, our full album VOR TRU as been released. The response to the demo has been excellent from the start and the demand for more as been rewarded with the release of the album. The critics of the samples of the album have been nothing short of excellent.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
No live shows yet, but it is in planning for the future.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are already signed to a label; Totenkopf propaganda rec. in Hellas   We have strong opinions and no” politically correct” non sense. Yet we are not bigots, nor kids who don’t know what we talk about. If you offend easily or dislike controversy, better not interview us.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Work on new songs with new line-up for next release. Perhaps a MCD before a second full album. And live shows.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

The album will be distributed by us for Vinland (USA/Canada)
