Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
ALCHERA was formed in late 1996, the line up has been as follows – Marc Prangenberg on vokillz, Daniel Schulz on guitars, Karl Witzmann on guitars, Joschka Prangenberg on guitars & vocals, Jörg Wendt on bass and Mirko Pinkert on drums.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Not patched together for the short term, but grown and matured in the band’s very own style, the addiction to speed, pressure and symphonic development connected the band members right from the beginning. The resulting synergy is at the heart of the band, thrashing life back into hung-over Metalheadz with compositional precision and an explosive Molotov cocktail of sound for over a decade now.
Alchera is its own archetype of metal, a hybrid of the brutal twin vocals, the dynamic and driving wall of sound by three guitarists as well with a thundering rhythm foundation.
Our Influences lay in Metal and Deathmetal (Pantera/At the Gates / Entombed), Black (Naglfar / Third Moon) and Grind (cherrz to Spasm, for giving the Soundtrack for very sick Partys).
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
A Metalhead must buy ERA, cause it is an fucking awesome Album, a fundamental and genuine music experience – unique in style and timeless as a work of art.
Our Demo`s are not longer available, we have no more of them.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media? We released our first Demo-Tape „Beyond Perception" in 1997 and the „Veil" 7" in 1998. We also made some Promotion CD`s „Das Ewig Dunkel" in 1999, „Das Alte" in 2000 and „Im Blute" in 2005. Now „Era" is our first official Release. The Response from the public/media are good so far.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
In the past we played three or less five gigs the year. I hope that will be change soon. Our live activities are limited in the western Part of Germany so far. I hope that will be change too, because there is enough power in live presentation to surprise the hungry crowd of Metal and Deathmetal fans.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
The character of the band is the individual sound creation, composed of the right mix of brutality, groove and harmony that sparks a storm of metal- particularly with the force of three guitars.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Now ERA is released a week ago. I think we should have to do Promotion for our baby and play live as often as we can. We work also on our second release and write new Stuff for it. I think it should be released next Year.
In the long term we try to get the possibility to play some gigs in more exotic regions than germany.
