Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
"Through the Void, Above the Suns" is a concept album structured as a journey, each song is linked to the next and the previous so as to create a unique macro track. It is a journey into the cosmos, its forces and its rules. The journey begins with "Quantum" and explore the cosmos until you get to "Entropia" and at that moment the journey can start again. The sound of this album could be defined with a cross between Post-Black and Doom with influences ranging from Shoegaze to Prog. We worked on this concpet for four years, we are very satisfied with the final result.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
The sound of this album could be defined with a cross between Post-Black and Doom with influences ranging from Shoegaze to Prog. A very atmospheric sound. I do not know if what we do is something that has never been heard, but I think our music has a very personal impression.
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The album was recorded at the Domination Studio in the Republic of San Marino, a tiny independent state within Italy. The recordings lasted only two weeks because before we did many months of pre-production. Perhaps not many people know this, but the Republic of San Marino is located in the mountains and the recording studio is located in a very isolated place, fighting off the main roads. We recorded in November and it was very cold, in those days it snowed a lot, while we were closed in the studio to record we were afraid of not being able to go away because of the snow.
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
We worked on the cover for a long time, we wanted to create something different from our previous works, so we decided for a vintage style. "Through the Void, Above the Suns" is a concept album, the lyrics tell of a journey into the cosmos and the forces that govern it, the cover is our vision of this journey.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Above all I expect our concept to be understood and listened to carefully, this is the most important thing.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The album will be released in a 6-panel digipack version with a 16-page booklet and in a digital version. The first print run of the physical version is limited to 400 copies.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
Our label is promoting our new album through magazines, webzine and webradio, but we will promote it with some concerts here in Italy.
