Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Eternal Armageddon is a Melodic Black Metal/ Black Death Metal band hailing from Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are summoning the darkness since 2009. Since the very first dawn, Asif Abrar and Kushal Warhorse are still sharing the same grail of Eternal Armageddon. The other two chaos-worshipers who joined later are Jamy the Armageddon and Count Morax. All scriptures are done by the invocator Asif Abrar who also leads the horde to the path of true enlightenment. Kushal Warhorse declares the eternal battle by his infernal blasts. Jamy the Armageddon and Count Morax evoke the evil through their desecrating distortion and diabolic hymns. We like to describe Eternal Armageddon as a majestic proclamation of absolute rebel against the meretricious hypocrisy and the primitive slavery of decades. It is the musical humiliation to the impotent civilization created with the filth of men. Eternal Armageddon is an ultimate disgrace to the morphological disorder of society, an angry denial to the domination of religious dynasties and their fragile orthodox.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style of music comprises of both extremity and our origin of eastern classical music. Our genre is Melodic Black Metal, Black/Death Metal. Basically there is no such influence thing; we do drive ourselves by our very philosophy. We grew up by observing the tyranny of the religious fanatics. We broke the boundaries by ourselves. Our darkness lies in the heart of us. We don’t go through six months of darkness but the darkness lies inside as we see it in broad daylight. And yeah! We like a lot of Metal bands of our kind. To mention a few of them we would like to state the name Dissection, Immortal, Emperor and Watain. These bands showed us the appropriate path to express ourselves.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because he/she is a metalhead! You know, musical tastes vary from people to people. Not everyone like Black Metal…some people are more into Thrash or some are into Death and so on. But yeah! If you are into Black Metal then our stuff is an obvious buy!
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far we have released a single entitled "Over Her Necropolis” from a local label called G-series last year. And that release got a huge media coverage. Different zines, newspapers gave positive reviews on that. Our listeners from here and abroad really appreciated that one. This year we have released our first EP named "Her Forlorn Monsoon”. Locally it was a self-release and internationally it was released from MTD Production, Malaysia. And so far, the response from the listeners is fucking awesome!
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yeah! We do play live as well. Due to the recordings of the EP we were busy at the studio for the last few months. But the good news is we are coming back live quite soon! This year we are going to hit the stage both locally and internationally. Earlier we have performed in some live gigs. Even we have organized some extreme Metal gigs to promote the local metal scene. Sometimes we had to suffer a huge loss, we have lost tons of bucks, but we never stopped supporting Metal.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Because our music is significant! We do focus on the mythical concept of our country in our lyrics. And by far we know no other bands are working on this type of music rather than us. We have a very own sound and musical concept which is really unique.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
More released, more local and international activities, getting more high, drunk and nauseated! Ha Ha! And one good news, the band website is coming soon! Ave!
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Our first single was released from a local label called G-series. You can buy it from them. And the EP could be available from our current label MTD Production, Malaysia if they are not already out of stock! You can also listen through our music from our Myspace, Reverbnation and Facebook page. So that’s it! Thanks a lot Pest Webzine, Eternal Armageddon really appreciate the way you are supporting metal. Wish you all the best. Keep supporting Eternal Armageddon. Infernal hails and horns up!
