Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Its defiantly our heaviest so far, we been going for a more chaotic approach, like on the title track, Unleashing the Demon Scourge, while still retaining our melodic roots at times, like in Nocturnal Offering. Overall, its a bit a darker side to Isenblast, and we intend on continuing on that same path.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Chaotic blashphemic evilness with a dark tinge of melody.
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
We recorded it in a little garage studio on the outskirts of Detroit. We nailed it out in about 3-4 days, going track by track. The track A Fire of Knowledge and Power was still very fresh at the time, as i was still finishing the lyrics as the other members were recording the song! Also, i had little to none of my solo parts planned out, it was all pretty much improv'd and done in just about 1 take (take note we switch off soloing, you can distinguish my random whammy bar shred solos compared to Lord Kaisers well thought out fretboard mastery).
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The lead singer of Demon Bitch, also a close friend of ours, painted it by hand for us, he also did the cover for our previous demo Forests of Frost. All the lyrics all revolve around occultism and the left hand path.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
We're looking to gain more recognition, and also show people more of what we're capable of, and how our style is evolving. We have not reached our peak though, which is why we did an EP instead of a full length. We wanted to have more material available and put out another CD since our first demo sold out, and our second demo is on cassette. Right now, we are searching for a permanent bass player and writing new material for another release.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
We just did this one on CD. There 500 of these fuckers so we plan on getting them out there.
Where and how will you promote this new release?
We will be sending it around, and pushing it at our shows, posting it around the internet, demo trades etc.
Where can we order it from?
