Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
First of all Greetings to PestWebzine readers from cold Poland!
Morph and me come from a progressive black metal band Northwail which split up in 2011. We however did not want to stop creating progressive, extreme music. We wanted to bring it to a completely different level. We found support from ex Shadows Land drummer J Nerexo who fitted ideally to our new cosmic concept. On the new LP we found support from Maciej Lis who recorded some songs on bas guitar. Around March/April 2018 we will officially release the LP "Cosmic Progression: An Agonizing Journey Through Oddities of Space" through Via Nocturna Records.
DS was formed in the UK in Taunton/Somerset. Right now all members of the band are in Szczecin/Poland.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Deconstructing Sequence is an extreme act of music filled with influences from various types of other music genres. Our roots will always stay within black and death metal however we are not afraid of experimenting with other genres. We are completely independent and not follow any rules or trends. If something that we come up with sounds good and it for example comes from a post rock idea, then it is simply good and we use it. We however tend to take this other genre ideas and deconstruct them into smallest pieces and then put them back together creating something completely new and fresh. We also have our own way of writing music, riffs and arranging the songs. We want to hear something that will make us think: wow! this is something i have never heard before... Some people say we make space metal and they are absolutely right however we want to call our music EXTREME PROGRESSIVE ART.
Our infuences vary from Emperor, Mayhem, Dodheimsgard, Aborym, Abigor and Nile to God is an Astronaut and Perturbator for example.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Well, i believe we have music that bring a fresh blow of air into extreme music. The music is not for everyone, i mean old-shool black people won't probably like it however people who are a bit more open minded should enjoy it. This music is for people who are bored with listening to music they heard again and again from other bands and their releases.
Within the New LP which has around 54min there is so much going on that you could actually make 3 CD's out of it. Even Arkadiusz "Aro" Jablonski from Monroe Sound Studio who mixed and mastered the LP told us that he was feeling like mixing several records. The combination of music genres, emotions, brutality is so strong that the music will be interesting for many listeners. You have always 2,3 guitars, synths that originaly were guitars both electric and acustic. You have choirs and many effects. Furthermore you have crushing blast beats, trip hop passages, brutal death metal vocals, black metal screams and radio messages sounding like from science fiction movies.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released 3 LP's and one EP with the band Northwail: Genesis demo, Enigma LP, Conversations about the Kingdom EP of Fire and Cold Season LP.
With Deconstructing Sequence we released 2 EP's and now a full lengh: Year One EP, Access Code EP and Cosmic Progression: An Agonizing Journey Through Oddities of Space LP.
All our releases good very good feedback from media and listeners. We always had fresh music that people did not hear before and were really surprised to hear. No one could tell that we sound like this or this...this was very important to us. Nearly all our reviews and feedback we received was very positive.
With every next release we grow in knowledge of the music industry and found support from people who really know what they are doing and that appreciate good music.
We cooperate now with Canadian DEWAR PR which is in charge of our promo campaign and we will have a record deal with Via Nocturna label from Poland starting March/April 2018.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
For this time of being we remain a studio act however there might be possibilities of playing live in the future.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I hope that promoters, labels and listeners will always consider us as something "different". We want to be remembered as a act that breaks boundaries between extreme music and other genres. I hope that listeners when thinking about listening to some crazy music they will always think "I have a DS CD!"

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
This New LP "Cosmic Progression:..." is not the last release of Deconstructing Sequence. We already are working on new songs, actually have around 5 of them ready and rehersing. We always look into the future, into the stars. When we stop writing music then this will be crushing for us. We are always thinking about new stuffs, new ideas and want to continue delivering weird, odd extreme music!
