Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Well, the band started in 2010 as the name of Blootide. Back then we we're only 2 members, me and a friend Norbert. My friend left and I joined some other bands. It wasn't what I thought to be, I left that bands and decided to start Bloodtide again, but this time with the name of Horus. I've started Horus with Cristache Andrei, both being vocalists. The second who joined us was Vlad Mihai, being replaced later by Szain "Laur" Laur being only a guest on our first album. After a time, his brother Catalin Mihai joined, but he left after some months for personal reasons. For now we are only 2 members.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I think our style would be described as a technical/ melodic death metal or simple, death metal. And bands who influenced our music, Nile and Aeternam.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If they are interested in some romanian death metal project singing about egyptian mythology, philosophy, with melodic and technical riffs, and brutal voices, well, we are the ones.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Well he have a demo, Hymn to Horus and an album, Declaration of War and I think some of the people like it, some don't.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
For now we don't play live because we are a two man band. In the future when we will have members we will play live.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They should be interested in our music and know that we give all that we can to make it.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We don't make plans because plans never last. We like to flow like the water, to say it like that. So, we will see what the future holds for us.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen our band on YouTube, Facebook, ReverbNation, Myspace and Jango. For now you can't buy our stuff, because we don't have a store or other things. But in the future maybe you will. Until then, stay metal!!
