Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Jude: Hi, we have been working on Drone Shark Ethics since we released the first release Enter the Zomborg which was out on Punkerama records. The songs for Drone Shark Ethics is really just the next batch of songs we wrote.We're pretty laid back that way. There is nothing to preach in our camp, we just like hilarious over the top songs about space and zombies and stuff. I have said before the only thing Acid Age preaches is madness. HAHA!
Jake: I'm particularly happy with 50,000 Robot Archers and the title track as our musical influences and aggressive style of playing blend best in those tracks.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Jude: We call ourselves HYPER THRASH because it doesn't restrain us to the typical neo-thrash style we would be compared to if we just called it thrash metal. You see, we like lots of weird music as long as it sounds like teen angst which includes anything from The Stooges to Napalm Death. Obviously we are rooted in thrash but we try too hard to sound faster than our influences and we listen to a lot of 50's rock n roll so we like that classy fuck you element.
Jake: The self proclaimed title of Hyper Thrash doesn't tie us down to anything which gives us more freedom.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Jude: Funny story we actually finished it with our old drummer and then re-recorded the whole thing when we changed drummers mid-process. In terms of time it was a nightmare but it was a lot of fun too. I literally tracked every guitar solo on the album drunk as shit which is maybe why the solos sound so chaotic and intrusive. But hey that's how we like it, reminds me of a cross between the first Sodom album and the first Van halen album. haha!
Jake: It certainly was a stressful time for us all especially the line up change during the recording process. But we did have a lot of fun recording Drone Shark Ethics and it was great to work with that old punk legend Buck from the Defects. And you know considering Luke (our drummer) came in mid process he saved us and we are both really proud of him as his performance really transformed the band for the better.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
Jude: It's our mascot Lilo fighting a Drone Shark cyborg. Nothing too intellectual there after all for us music is an escape. I love Hailey Meskills artwork. It's as cute as us.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Jake: To reach more people and expand the fan base for us. We're still newcomers at the end of the day and we are still developing and improving as musicians and our music is evolving.
Jude: Nothing too pretentious we just wanna make really fun thrash metal type songs with hints of other stuff and just have a laugh and play lots of shows and make cool T-shirts. Sure what would you want money for when you can do that? 

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
Jude: Witches Brew records released it on CD, they did a limited run of 700 copies which is great. Cheryl (Head of Witches Brew) does all this out of love for metal. She's such a genius too I spend hours talking thrash to her on facebook and she always schools my ass. She released the first Toxic Holocaust album and the first Gama Bomb album and they're some of our favourite bands.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
Jude: We're touring the UK starting on the 31st of January, the first date is in Scotland, then Belfast and then a few shows in England. I hope more people get into us. We love making friends, some of the best people I've ever met have been at our gigs.
Jake: We also use social media and webzines and fanzines like yourself. I'm excited to start touring the new material and I am anticipated to see how live audiences around the UK will receive the album and if they absorb it.
