Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We are Day of Execution - a death metal band hailing from the city of Varna, Bulgaria. In the beginning the band was initially called REICHSRADIO and was formed in 2005 as a brutal death/grind project . The style and the conception have altered much since then, mostly due to lineup changes. We also changed the style of the band and now we play old-school death metal.During the years of development we decided to change the name of the band to DAY OF EXECUTION (inspired by Steven King’s novel "The Green Mile”).

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Old School Death Metal in a traditional way. The influences comes from old death and thrash metal bands. To name few : Deicide, Slayer, Benediction, Bolt Thrower, Obituary, Demolition Hammer, Overthrow, Pestilence, Demigod, Morgoth, Cancer, Entombed, Messiah and many many more...
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we think our music is good and need suport!
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Under the name Reichsradio we released one demo called "C.M.D." When we changed the name to Day Of Execution we started to record our first album. It was released by polish label "Brewery Prod" in January 2012.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We are alway interesting to play live. Since now we have more than 100 gigs with most of Bulgarian underground bands. We also have some very memorable shows with bands like SINISTER, POPPY SEED GRINDER, GRAVE DESECRATOR, MALEVOLENT CREATION, DAMNGOD, LOUDRAGE, MALPRAXIS, KROW, SQUASH BOWELS, BANE ... Soon we will play with norwegian beasts ENDEZZMA.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We don't try to copy anyone. We make our music the way we feel it. And it's Death Metal way!We have our influences, maybe we are not the most original band in the world, but this music is in us!
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
In the near future we plan to release an EP,we are in recording process these days. And in the summer a split CD is planned. After summer we will start work on our second album. I think the future will be good with many great emotions and gigs :)

Well, we have some tracks on Youtube, also have Myspace and Facebook profiles. Unfortunately our label is closed now and we don't have any contact with the guy! The only way to buy our CD is through us. Anyone who wants a copy can contact us on : dayofexecution@gmail.com
