Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was founded in early 2010 in France.
After several years of depression and isolation, I had to evacuate all this and the choice was made through music.
At the beginning there was just me on the guitar, then Saddy (Vocals), Alrinack (Bass) and Molasar (Drums) (all three members of the band P.H.T.O.) joined me.
One year after, Molasar ended his life.
He was soon replaced by Malsain from the band Sombre Croisade.
In the wake, a collective named "Molasar Dream's" was created in his memory bringing together all the bands and projects of each member.
We have evolved with this new line-up until 2015.
After that Saddy left the band and it was therefore Alrinack who replaced him in vocals while keeping his position as bassist.
At the same time Alrinack and Malsain began to compose in addition to me the guitar parts.
At the end of 2016, Frakkr joined the band as a drummer.
Since Nekros joined us as a Live session bassist.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
When the band starts, the compositions are clearly and purely Suicidal Black Metal all with a very minimalist approach.
Little by little our music to evolve towards something more aerial, melodic while keeping a very melancholic side.
Today our style has become a mixture of Black metal depressive and Black metal atmospheric.
Bands like Shining, Nocturnal Depression or Burzum could have influenced us at one time or another..
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Well, I would say that if he’s like us, he needs to dig things out of the depths of his soul in order to get rid of his misery.
Our music is made for him.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released a first demo, “Les Tourments de l'âme”, in 2011 followed by a split with Sombre Croisade in 2012.
A second demo, “Au Crépuscule d'une vie”, was released in 2013.
Then we released our first album, “Les Larmes du passé”, in 2015 in self-production.
In 2016 our second album, “Illusions funestes”, was produced by Wolfspell Records and just recently in March 2019 we released our third album, “Dégénérescence” still on Wolfspell Records.
The feedback we’ve been able to get has generally been very positive.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We performed our first concert in 2012 in the north of France as the opening act of Nocturnal Depression.
Then with the arrival of Frakkr in the band we had the opportunity to play in the first part of Wolves in the Throne Room for their only French date in Grenoble in 2017.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it
I don't know what to say but if labels, zines or promoters want to know more about us or support us we are open to any proposals...
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
At the first time within a few weeks we will play alongside the Swiss of Malphas still in Grenoble and surely make other dates during the year...
Then we will look at writing a new album...
