Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
It all started in a spring of 2005. Soon Dark Possession was created. First of all, the music I wanted to play was black metal with a lot influence of scandinavian culture, as well as the slavic to hail the legends, myths... As time passed, I started to create better music than I did before. Aggressive, violent and epic. So the name was changed to Bethroned. As the amount of time passed, my project was noticed, so I was connected with Folk Records from Russia, DemonMusic from Malaysia, Azermedoth Records from Mexico and Nihil Arts Records from Russia. This band is a reflect of my inner self and the music is reflect of my true himself.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I would describe it as metal in whole meaning Yes, maybe I use harsh black metal vocals, growl, but there is some clean parts and some heavy riffs, especially on my new second full length "Before Time" that I think that is really milestone for the band. I changed style a bit, guitar tuning as well and I created some epic background to the music. Normally, I listen bands like Immortal and Bathory, so I think that this progression came naturally.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Well, I released one album before this one and it ended up on internet really fast, so I decided to uploaded it on my myspace page, because there's no point now to chase some labels to release it (although, it was released on some labels later on). I think that people should buy Bethroned album to see a progression of a band. I released some music before that didn't reflect my style now, bu I was young and it was all a progression that lead to this album now, that I have to say that it is one of the best till now. I handled all of the instruments and mixing and I think I did a pretty good job. Yes, I lost a lot of nerves, but when you have a finished product that sounds like it sounds now, you know it was worth it.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
I released so far:
Promo 2009, demo
Clash of Pride 2009 full length
You're Death Hunst Me Still 2001 EP
Before Time 2010 unreleased second full lenght that will be out in july of this year.
Also, I have done a lot of interviews around on webzine and magazines, so I have to say that new era of Bethroned (starting from promo 2009) was received really well. Clash of Pride received really good ratings and I was really proud of that. My song "My Punishment" became one of my best songs, according to listeners.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
This band is one man band, but I have to say that there's some plans to play live in a year or so, after I release more material. When the time comes so I can play one hour long concert and when I can create visually live show that I created in my head, Bethroned will become a live act. Till then, I will focus myself on creating a music that people will listen not one time, but many more.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I think, like I said before, because of music. I think it's always because of that. In one man band, the only way you can get noticed is because of your quality. Be it bad or good. I had some bad releases before, but, like I said, it all led for band to become what it is now.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
After I release "Before Time", I plan to take a rest for a few months, or year, before creating some of new music. I will just sit back and see how people enjoyed this one. Whit every new release, I feel I have gone one step further, in production and in music writing. So now I gave my best for this album, emptying my batteries so they need to be refiled (ha ha ha). Small absence is the best way for that.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can buy new album from Nihil Art Records in Russia, and some labels that I have to finalize deals with. You can check song on official myspace: http://myspace.com/bethronedhorde
Thank you and cheers!
