Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Mordikaii is a Melodic Death Metal band created by Swedish guitarist Bobby Tancred. Its musical history goes many years back in time.
The idea started taking form with this constilation in the summer of 2009 when Jason Mercury (ex-Outloud) and Bobby started to talk about doing something together in the music kinda way. Then Jason took the oppurtunity to accept the offer to become the bassplayer of Mordikaii when he was asked by Bobby to do it.
After some disscussions Jason introduced Bobby to Fabio Caruso (lead singer of As Memory Dies). And thrue Jason we recruited Nikos Parotidis drummer of Minuetum , who were a solid choice on drums.
In less than 6 months the ideas and compositions came to life and became powerful songs.
The band at this point had a big number of compositions ready and recorded and had already chosen the ones that will appear in the debut album entitled "Awakening Aeons”.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music? Our influences are many. Mainly swedish death metal acts like Fallen Angel, At The gates, In Flames, Amon Amarth, Entombed, Dismember etc.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We think people will like our music cause its a style by its self and the melodies are mixed by shredded riffs. Theres not a band like this out there. So beware and get a copy ;) .
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
The band has released an EP/Promo/Demo album entitled "As Daylight Dies”. Wich was released totally free on the web and our myspace site etc.
The Official album is now being mixed and will be mastered by R.D. Liapakis in Prophecy Studios and is estimated to be released in summer of 2010.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We do NOT play live as it is today, but hopefully in the near future.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels etc are intressted in a major way, and we are in progress of picking and chooseing so it will be released asap wich and why :) .
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
The main plan is to get our cd out and promote it as much as we possible can. Then its writing and riffing to the next chapter of Mordikaii.
