Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.DISTILLERY was founded in 2009. We were just 4 metal & death metal fans experimenting with music we like and support. Soon enough we released our first demo(HUMAN DISTILLERY) that was "softer" in a way, compared to what we play nowadays. In 2010 the vocalist(Loukas) and guitarist (Chris) left the band and so three new members(Panos S, Panos P., Nick) came to the band making the sound more agreesive. So we started playing to some gigs and of course after a year we recorded OMENS OF OUR PURGATORY in 2011 which was released in early 2012 taking really nice reviews by metal fans and mags. In 2012 once again unfortunately Nick(vocals) left the band and as soon as it happened the band moved forward- once more- to more aggressive music paths, and still does.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our music is evolving day by day. We think that making the best release you can is the honorable thing to do. Our style nowadays is a mixture of death metal,black metal and progressive i think. We have thousands of influences...I wouldn't know from where to start...DYING FETUS, CANNIBAL CORPSE, SIX FEET UNDER, IMMOLATION, OBSCURA, DEATH,DEEDS OF FLESH, ORIGIN and from the Sweedish scene AT THE GATES and many many other bands brutal,melodic in the area of extreme metal.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?I think people will decide...people always decide whether to pay attention to a band or not...we wiil do the best album we can and see what happens... we are always optimistic and very careful at what we do and superserious about it...we hope that people like it and get the messages we send through lyrics and power of music...
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
As i 've said in the beginning, we have released till now:

we had good reviews for Omens so far and still getting good reviews by the people bying our cd's and coming to lives...We are honored by these things that people and mags take a look at our work and of course from the people coming to lives
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
At first it didn't go so well 'cause of the line -up changes, nowadays we play whenever it's possible in Greece and we have already some plans to play in Europe in some gigs after we record our Album....probably in early 2014...
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We 've shown respect in every single person, band or label, that has played , worked and had business with us 'cause we admire strongly the people working in this area of music or supporting it 'cause we know how difficult is to do some good work and helping people 'cause you believe in their music...So we we 'll do everything we can to support the people and labels that support us and will support us, because we are very passionate about what we do and i think people in most labels do too.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?Soon enough we 'll record our album, probably under some Label and play lives as many as we can in and outside of Greece, promoting our songs...
