Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Nutr is a Black Metal band formed during 2010 in Cairo,Egypt .The band was formed by Alhussain sherif and Ahmed Yassin.
After Composing our EP " Devious Thoughts " , Hosam Araby and Ashraf Badr joined the band. Then the band recorded the EP " Devious Thoughts " and has signed to 4 record labels who released that EP , the model " Emmline Tortura " joined us as a model for merch and live performence , then the band Released a LP called " Ay Beten Gun " which was released by 2 record labels on tapes and CD's .
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Extremely Raw Black Metal including Egyptian elements in the riffs itself that make the listener feels dark and evil in the Egyptian way , Our music is influenced by Marduk , Gorgoroth , Angantyr and many other bands who play pure Black Metal ! .
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Every creature differs from the other and everything has it's followers , metalheads who are interested in the underground black metal will be so interested in buying our albums , buying our CD's will be an appreciated support that all people listen to Nutr know that we post free download links on our pages so they can listen to our albums anytime they want to for free .
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released an EP and LP , " Devious Thoughts (EP) " & " Ay Beten Gun " .
The public liked Devious Thoughts alot but most of people didn't like the drumlines as they think it's a drum machine , about this point , we recorded real drums but on the production we were thinking of doing something different , we tried doing it with the tempo , and we did made it higher than real record but we liked it so we released the EP with that tempo .
About " Ay Beten Gun " it was just released one week ago , so we don't know what do people think of it , but till now , 50% of people I took their opinions liked it and 50% didn't and said that Devious Thoughts was better .
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We don't play live because we are in Egypt , and Extreme Metal activities are banned here , so we are just looking forward to have shows outside Egypt , thats the only way to play live .
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?I think they should know that we would do well in live shows , :D , alot of our CD's were already sold I think they should be interested in us because it's rare to find an Egyptian Black Metal band .
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are recording a new album that will feature a well-known violinist " Olga D " , currently she is adding her lines and we will release the album as soon as we finish mixing and mastering it .
