Review:
For many years, Syn Ze Sașe Tri has been a solid team of the Romanian metal scene. The album "Zăul Moş", which is the fourth full-length, opens the epic, more than 10-minute song "Tărîmu de lumină" which is the quintessence of what is currently played by "symphonic" from Timisoara: black/pagan/folk and the Carpathian pride in unmistakable sound! Solos plunging into the ground, the variability of rhythms, amazing mood changes, refined lyrics, telling stories - Son Ze Saşe Tri is Power and Enough! The whole thing in Romanian, for what from my side the next „big plus” - and the sound encouraged to get through the text layer, based on the Carpathian mythology and supported by folk flavors. I dare say that it is one of the best metal plates from 2017 among those that I had the pleasure to listen to this year. The „icing on this cake” is of course legendary romanian folk/art rock band Phoenix cover - "Cocoşi negri". With all responsibility, I give this musical work the full score!
