Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Hi ! We are REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER from Nantes, France. I’m Jean-Jérôme, the guitarist. I started to write the songs on my own two years ago with no particular plan in mind. Then, gradually, I played the demo of the songs to my current fellows : Antoine (guitar), Antoine (Bass) and Romain (Drums) with who I played in the past in different Metal or Punk Hardcore bands. Excited, they all decided to take part of this project. Ulrich, the singer who is from Paris, joined us six months ago and all together we worked on the songs. We've played our first gig in May 2012 with Wolves in the throne Room, where Gerald from Les Acteurs de L'ombre Productions noticed us. Convinced by our music, he decided to sign us up on his label and produce our first album.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
It's hard to describe our style. Our music is influenced by sludge, postcore, black metal but also post rock and classical music. Bands like Amen Ra, Neurosis, Secret Of The Moon, Sigur Ros, Caspian, Mogwaï, Mono, Mayhem, Converge, The Secret or Celest really inspire us. But, we're not trying to play a particular kind of music, we just want to create a dark, heavy and melancholic atmosphere. We want the audience to travel with us and feel a lot of emotions.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we made it with passion
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Our very first album will be released on march 30th 2013 and we are really optimistic. We have very good feedbacks on the first online songs.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we do play live and we love that. Since may 2012, we gave 5 shows. We are currently very busy with the album, but concerts are planned for April and May.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Because our music is very original and unexpected. Each show is a blast; an experience nobody will forget, an experience a man will never forget in his whole life.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We can't wait for the album to be released and see how it is received by the public. We're booking gigs in France and we hope to book some soon in Europe. Our release party will be on 04.24.2013 with Celeste, in Nantes. At last, we're planning a tour with the Great Old Ones for this fall.
