Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Hi! Discordance exists since about 2007. In the early days we used to play classic death metal style, influenced by Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and other fundamental bands. In mid 2009, the efforts of the first period flowed in a 5-song EP, entitled “Unborn Disease”. After that, many line-up problems strongly slowed down the new compositions. The new incarnation of the band plays a more personal style, influenced by modern technical death metal, but also other elements. In fall 2017, our first full length album has been released by EarthQuakeTerrorNoise Records.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our music is strongly influenced by bands like Origin, Gorod, Spawn Of Possession and a little Ulcerate.  Our style is based on blasting sick melodies, frequent tempo changes and guttural growling vocals.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we are passionate with music exactly like him! We compose our material to fulfill something very close to a physiological need to make music.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released a 5-song EP in 2009 named “Unborn Disease”, during the early days, when the style was close to classical death metal like Suffocation. In Fall 2017, the new incarnation of the band released the first full length album, “In The Shadow Of Leaves”, developing a more personal style influenced by technical death metal with melodic elements.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, we certainly play live as well, even though we hope to increase the frequency in the future.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
In the moment of writing, we just started to spread the album here and there, so we hope that some zines start to know about us.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Continuing to compose music of course! We already are in a strong composition period, dealing with the genesis of the next album’s songs.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
On Bandcamp you can stream all the songs of the album and buy the CD, the digital version of the album, and the t-shirt:
