Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Band started in 2000 by Tine Bregar on guitar and Tine Horvat on drums , soon joined Tilen Benda on another guitar completing the TTT trio, which still forms the core of the band. Band had some members on bas and vocals, recorded some songs and had some shows, but it didn’t worked very well for everybody. So about 2 years ago I joined on vocals, Maja Peteh on keyboards and recently Peter Frol took over the lead guitar, which gave Tine B a chance to play bass guitar the way he always wanted it to be played. Line up we have now is perfect and we are all fully motivated to create and perform, it is also important that all of the members feel that the band is going in the right direction.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We were most certainly motivated by Old School black metal bands, which I am shure you all know. Each of us has personal favourites but we are all about the same dark, misty and freezing atmosphere. We do not spread religious believes or use it for motivation, we just create an atmosphere of our world as it is and how we imagine some of the nature’s darkest secrets. Of course Burzum burnings bring a happy smile to our face, but we rather ignore the things we don’t like.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We are making music based on our fillings and that’s what brings atmosphere in which you can find yourself or maybe not. That depends on the listener. Our desire to express ourselves is met, so it’s up to metalheads out there to try out our music. Personally I like music which takes time to connect to and feel it and our music is like that – you have to listen to it over and over again to really get to it’s essence, but once you do it’ll never let you go. Also when you buy an album you send feedback to the band to create more shit for your pleasure.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Descending Through Halls of Agony is first and only release of this band so far. It’s recorded and mastered by TTT line up. As it’s known for most of the bands, the sound, on the first album is not the same as on the next one because you are getting better and better at it. And so are we. Great melodies are sometimes hidden deeply, which makes music very addictive and interesting, sometimes critics don't take the time to find everything we created in structure and lyrics and just say that we don't have a new sound, which doesn't mean that it is not one of the
best sounds out there. You need to be focused when listening to our music and pay attention to minor details and that is when you are beginning to see the whole picture we painted. Everybody likes to find some flaws and there are flaws because it’s true black metal, but overall they all admit that it is an awesome album. Personally I like it a lot and find only one "filler” song, all other are "killers”.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
There were some greatly accepted shows in the past, but band didn’t continued on because of the improper line up, untill now. With the new line up we opened the show for some Norwegians, but were accepted as the main band of the evening, which was great. Nice start, especially for my first live performance. I proved to have a vocal very worth shearing hehe. We are ready and about to prove our passion with quality shows in near future all around the world.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We play the music that we feel, we play it with passion and are getting better and better at it. Usually people are surprised when they hear us…
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are shaping new album and looking for cool shows to play at - to spread our music all over the world.
