Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Kaoscentrica comes from Concepción city, (South of Chile). It merges in 2002 from a context of a big explosion of metal bands that get it’s climax among years 2003 to 2007, and implies a southern raise of a lot of bands from different styles.
Ngen Kerrüff (vocals) and Quruñüm (drums) created the project with the main goal of composing good metal with lyrics focused in the ancient history of Chile.
No much time left by, the band recorded their first EP called "50.000 corpses”, that made the band play live several dates through the south of Chile, in cities such as Talca, Tomé, Concepción, Valdivia, Los Angeles, etc.
In 2006, Ngen Kerrüff set out the idea to record a professional LP, that was recorded in February 2007, in Santiago. The process of the album, recording, mixing and mastering duties took 8 months, with Carlos Gonzalez and Sebastian Puente (from "Nuclear”) as recording engineers.
In 2008, Kaoscentrica went through a line-up change process that remains until today, (Quruñüm left the band along Encina (Guitars)) With the new guitarist Nidhoggr, Kaoscentrica plays several shows in Concepción and Temuco from 2007 to the beginning of 2008.
In the middle of 2009, Langbardur (Alejandro "Zorro” Espinosa, (ex-UDK)), came to the band to play guitar.
In 2010, the band release its first LP called "South Hordes Arise”, under the new Chilean label "Australis records”. It contains the songs recorded in 2007, always keeping the ancient warriors of our country lyrics, their spirituality and pagan beliefs and fight.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style is Death Metal. Some metal media says that our music is Death Metal with an "epic charisma”, and other call us brutal. More than any label, we say that we paly Death Metal, sometimes more melodic, sometimes more coarse, but our goal is to keep that style until the end. We don’t like mixes. We hear a lot of different music styles, but when we work for Kaoscentrica, we leave those "guilty pleasures” out. Our present members have their side projects in a large variety of styles (Langbardur plays in other 4 bands with different styles, Ngen Kerrüff have a folk metal side project called "Arrealhué”, and Gore Strings plays in some grindcore bands, but keeping the style in our creative process is a very important thing.
The bands who influence the music, are Deeds of Flesh, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, Amon Amarth, Unleashed, Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Vital Remains, Deicide, and many others. Lyrically, we are influenced by the Chilean history, pagan beliefs, the pest of religions, specially occidental religions, and the sticky border between good and evil. Also, another inspiration is the beauty and brutality of our country and landscape. If you want to compare our lyrical influences with other bands, we think that Immortal, Dark Funeral, Amon Amarth are our influences.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we represent a new "breathe” in Death metal scene, a breathe that could be given by southamerican bands. Our musical, lyrical and aesthetical proposal is centered around mythologies and legends that had been forgotten by people and metal. The original black and death metal bands take its inspiration in their own history, their own pagan beliefs, the pagan beliefs of their Nordic countries. So we think that using that same inspiration in chilean metal music is wrong. We decided to inspire our music in our country, our tradition, and the result of that, is what Kaoscentrica represents.
So, why a metalhead must buy our album? Because that way, he’s is supporting our  battle!!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have one rehersal demo, with poor quality, and an EP (50.000 corpses) with a little more good quality. Those releases were made in an amateur level, but have a lot of good comments and critics in the Chilean scene.
With the album, we looked forward good sound engineers, so Carlos Gonzalez as the engineer behind Nuclear and Bellum sound took our attention. So we decide to make a quality recording, investing our own money, because here in Chile is too difficult to have a label that pay this production costs. Despite some details, we think that we reach a good level, both in recording and mastering, so we are very pleased with it. That recording was stand by for 2 years, until Australis Records hear it and propose us to produce the album and to distribute it over Chile and the world.
Finally, metal media, zines and e-zines mostly, wrote good comments about our work, both in Chile and in the rest of the world, so we are really satisfied.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We play live of course, but so far it has turned really difficult to found a compromised drummer. Our permanent line-up changes are because it’s really hard to find compromised musicians here in Chile.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
As we say previously, our intention is to demonstrate that you can found darkness, paganism, brutality and courage over the world. Latin America isn’t the exception. Mostly, people think that here in Chile we dance "samba” and other Caribbean styles. But here in Chile, despite popular music is focused in those styles, the situation is different. We have eternal glaciars, infinite forests with trees with more than 1000 years, a wretched climate with eternal rains, big mountains in which you die irremediably. We have ancient inhabitants with a passionate heart and a pagan spitiruality and ferocity, without gods, without kings.
So the pagan feeling is powerfull here, and if lables, zines and promoters keep some of that pagan feeling in their hearts, they must be interested in us.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Firstly, found a good and compromised drummer. Meanwhile, compose new songs for a future second album, with more heresy and brutality, and obviously, to promote and distribute South Hordes Arise with Australis Records over the word.  We have already some new songs, with names like "Ngenechén’s fall”, "The archetype of evil”, "Kaoscentric visions”, and so on.
