Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The history of Synapse Defect is a bit of a mess. We have a bio posted on our website containing most known information, from time to time an eye-witness comes forward with some information that coroborates, but the complete truth of our beginnings may remain a mystery forever. Even our own members are unsure of the bands extensive history. For example the longest known running member of the band, our drummer "Snap" has no recollection of how he became the drummer, he swears he originally played guitar for the band. The biggest problem about the the trails, tribulations, events and battles throughout history is that, in the end, the victors are the ones who end up writing the history books. So what we have to go on, is basically a big steaming pile of bias.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Oi! we so heavy! Like three-thirteen ton harmonized jack-hammers in a vat of butane saturated sulfur patches, you can hear Synapse Defect in every gust of hurricane winds, snappin tree-trunks like necks. You can hear Synapse Defect in every wave break of a tsunami as it demolishes your walls, flooding your consciousness with sarcastically exaggerated irony.  Like most creative artists, we do stand on the shoulders of giants such as Sam Rivers, Arnold Schoenberg, Dmitri Shostakovitch to name a few. The sound has been described as many things: Math-Matal, Jazz-Metal, Death-Metal, DeathGrind, Guttural, Grindcore, etc... SD is not at all considered to be "gateway" metal. It is for most an accuired taste. Synapse Defect is taylored for the more sophisticated ears of the most well seasoned metal junkies. When other metals are just not getting  you "there" anymore, Synapse Defect will always get the job done! Yes, we're are more expensive!  Yes, we are also more addictive! but we are the ONLY all natural, pure metal extract, so git it! git it! git it!

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
To expand consciousness and develop pathways to previously unused parts of the brain.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Past releases include "Conspiracy to overthrow..." and "Basal Taxon", these albums were well recieved by an elite group of free thinkers. Most people who have these albums purchased them directly from one of the band members at a live performance. For most others Synapse Defect just seemed to zoom right over their heads, we are sure that the masses only recieved the "D" from "Defect" as they have only seemed to bend over further for the reaming, as we have attempted to raise awareness.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Its not Digiorno, its DELIVERY! Synapse Defect is all about the destruction of stages! We always have been an embodiment of our sound, and we have gained quite a reputation for it. The band has under its belt five National tours and a countless Regional tours as well. We are currently available booking, and we will perform wherever the fuck you want. We've jammed in about every type of place you could imagine, basements and living rooms at house parties, gyms, skate parks, concert venues, small clubs, dive bars, parks, fields, ice cream parlors, pizza joints, coffee shops, you name it! we dun it! and we'll do it again! BOOK US! WE DARE YOU!

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
You walk up to the edge of the Grand Canyon, the sheer vastness of it takes your breath away and gives you mini fits of vertigo as your eyes move across the contours, you stand at its edge in wonder. You can at this point stay at the edge and forever wonder, or you can find a trail going down and follow it to the unknown. Fear is the mind-killer. To embark on the unknown is a task only few choose to accomplish. Synapse Defect is deep with meaning and purpose, and that scares the shit out of a lot of people, even metalheads! As more and more of our metal brethren purify themselves from the poisons of fear, we are prepared to usher in a new era for metal.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
New music, New Videoes & new album "Quantitative Easing" expected 2018, festivals, world tour, a gig performed on the planet Mars being the pinnacle.
