Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
WAKING CHAOS -EST. 1998. Formed in the midwest U.S. Our original line up was with four members. We began writting songs for this project 1999. We played a few live shows as four piece, Mark on Bass, Chuck Kotlewski on drums, Tom Smuta Rhythm guitars, Frank lead guitar. Chuck left the project in the summer of 99'. Our close friend Terrence fill the drum spot and brought the band to a new level. The new drummer picked up the songs quickly and we made preparations to head into the studio to record the new material. We played several live shows with Terrence including a cable TV show. Terrence left the group in 2002 to join Gorgasm . Auditioning new drummers with no luck the bass player Mark decided to learn how to play the drums and fill in the spot. Our friend Bibbs took over on Bass duties. With this line up we began writting new songs that would be the material for our first album "Driven To Madness". In 2007 we were ready to head into the studio to lay down songs for our first album. Two months before going into the studio the rhythm guitar player (Tom) quit the band. With the studio time already booked we decided to continue with the project as a three piece band. We played several live shows in support of "Driven To Madness" mostly in the midwest region. As a three piece we began writting the second album "Imminent Annihilation" and headed back to the studio in 2010. Our current line up is:
Mark -Drums/Main Vocals
Frank Garcia -Lead Guitar/Backing vocs
Bibbs -Bass/Backing vocs

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I would describe our style as early Death Metal. The bands that have had the most influence are Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Malevolent Creation, Sinister, Death, Testament and Obituary to name a few.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We capture the essence of underground death metal here in the midwest. Our drummer is the main vocalist which is a rare thing to see in death metal. A three piece in this style is unique to this area.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Our first studio release was produced in the winter of 1999
By, Waking Chaos and  Mike Djuricic at Studio One, Racine WI.
A self title demo with Terrence on drums and Tom Smuta (second guitar)
Featuring; "Path to Oblivion", "Dethroned","Visions of Death","Hatred"
"Crucified at Birth" and "Death Chamber". Released in 2001. 300 copies made and was very well received by the underground metal heads from our area.

In November2007, we headed back to the studio, as a three piece
to record our first album "Driven To Madness" this time produced
by, Mike Semerau at Tribal Studio, Bolingbrook IL.
The album is nine songs featuring fan favorites "Through the Crosshairs, "Human Cruelty", "Impulsive Homicide", plus a bonus track. Released 10-31-08 under our own label Chaos Records. 100 copies. Reviewed in Krestrev zine, AEA zine issue #17 and Chicago reviewer by Chuck Ulbright in 2009. Played on Monday Night radio, The Metal Deli w/Kimmi and Darkmoon radio.

Our current release is "Imminent Annihilation" Recorded at The Belle Sound Studios in Racine, WI. 3-1-10 by Chris Djuricic. Featuring fan fav "Freedom Revoked" as the opening track, "Incendiary Retribution", "Reign of Terror", plus uncensored rare track at the end. 100 copies.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, several live performances. The best response is the all ages events, the all ages crow is more receptive and energized for our style of music. There are only a few venues that allow this style of music in our area so we are looking to expand live performances to other states.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are a powerful three piece project that plays all original material. We work hard on our material to bring the listener a unique and memorable experience.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Currently we are writting new songs for the third album. We are in the process of promoting the second album Imminent Annihilation. Any help we can get would be appreciate it. We are not signed to a label or manager so we do our own promoting at this time. We are looking to get more reviews/interviews, radio airtime and expand our live performances out of the mid-west to more world wide audience.
