Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Sunroad begun on August/1996, but in that period we just wanted to have fun playing covers songs. The band name was Alien, back then. One year later, we re-baptized to Sunroad and started at our own to write compositions, but only playing at small places, schools parties, things like that. Our debut album was released in 1999 and was made under a very poor production and we were like an lab band: every sort of music styles you can find on those tracks. The turn of page was in 2003 with Arena Of Aliens release, with a good production, it allowed us to the attention of the manager/agent Edu Bonadia (R.I.P.) that signed a contract deal and allowed us a good distribution in Europe, USA and Japan, and next album too, 2006. The following that came was a long and a good History. The current Sunroad's line up is Warlley Oliver (vocals/rhythm guitar), Mayck Vieira (lead & rhythm guitars), Van Alexandre (bass/keyboards) and Fred Mika (drums)
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Sunroad got three different periods. At the early years we got influence of everything. Up from 2000, we were classified as “progressive hard rock” and our influences was Uriah Heep, UFO, Triumph, Rush. Then, at the 2010 year, we changed a few to melodic hard rock with more sophisticated vocals lines and dynamics harmonies/melodies.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we add that Brazilian touch. Everyone will find tracks extremly emotional, well arranged, well produced and rich of details and dynamics.
