Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
BANE was created by myself in 2006. I recorded a Demo one year later, but unfortunately was never finished…Quickly after the first recording, BANE fell into oblivion…Two years of complete silence and absence had passed before the writing process started to develop again.
The band is now officially re-activated, and consists of the following members:
Branislav (Disdained, Ser) - Lead Guitars, Growl Vocals, Music, Lyrics & Arrangements
Igor (Goat Ritual, RS) - Rhythm Guitars, Bass, Scream Vocals, Lyrics & Arrangements
Zombi (Infest, ex-The Stone, ex-May Result, Ser) - Live Session Drums
The band just finished recording new material (EP which consists of 3 tracks), and is working/writing for their upcoming full-length debut album.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
The new material will sound like the 90`s Swedish Black/Death Metal scene. BANE`s main and biggest influence is DISSECTION, and will forever remain that way. The secondary influences are Emperor, Thulcandra, May Result...
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
A Metalhead should only buy our stuff if he is 100% into the Underground scene, and loves to listen to Old School Black/Death Metal.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media? The first Demo was recorded in 2007, but was never officially/entirely released, printed, etc…However, we just recorded a 3 track EP, as mentioned above. The public & media so far sent us only good critics, and we intend to keep it that way with the new stuff coming up.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
After almost 3 years being a 1-man project, BANE just recently evolved into a band, and finally has a complete line-up. Live shows will start to spread soon.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
BANE is a 90`s Old School Swedish Black/Death Metal band, hailing from Serbia. The new line-up consists of band members that are also part of DISDAINED, GOAT RITUAL & INFEST. The long awaited debut album will be recorded in mid 2010, and will be released in Sept/Oct. 2010!
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
-Mid 2010 - Gigs & recording of the full-length album.
-Late 2010 - Release + Live promotion of new album.
