Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was formed by bassist Egor Lomonos and guitarist/vocalist Oleg Kolotusha in winter 2005. After awhile a guitarist Dmitry Marchenko and drummer Jaroslav Docenko joined the band. In such composition the band takes part in different festivals and club concerts. In 2007 a drummer Vladimir Shapkun substitutes Jaroslav Docenko and presently he is the band’s drummer. In two months Dmitry Marchenko left the band and MORiA members decided to play as trio.
Autumn 2008 MORiA participated in "Death Damage Fest” with Deadlock (Germany).
In such composition the band takes part in ProRock festival in 2008 with such bands as Rage, Rasta, Devillish Impressions and other bands from Ukraine and other SNG countries.
During this period of time the debut album "PSY” was recorded and the first video clip with participation of Lilith from the Zaporozhye - based band "General Wound” was directed. The first studio album was produced at the Ukrainian label "Black Art Production”.
Over the time the band’s style changes – the sound becomes heavier and the vocal groovier.
Guitarist Alexey Pasko joins the band in autumn 2009. Presently the structure of the band remains unchanged.
After this change of membership the band produces the EP "Clouded Mind”. The new material becomes more attractive for press and radios. Almost immediately after the EP production new video clip on "Dead Memory” song is directed.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our style can be described as thrash / groove metal with inherent for this style of heavy guitar riffs, powerful vocals and downhole the rhythm section. Over the impact of the groups in our music it is possible to tell, that this is the most different bands from all over the world and not necessarily this group which play heavy music.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
I think that the people listening to our music will be able to take or to emphasize her something for yourself. That bought our drive a man after listening to the left satisfied with the product that we offer him.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?In our active is the debut album "PSY". After him we came the English-language EP "CLOUDED MIND", which received good reviews in the press. And here in may 2011 should get our new album "PAIN SHREDS" on Russian label MORE HATE Productions.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
With this kind of all in order. In the autumn was tested material from the new album "PAIN SHREDS" on living concerts. It was a small tour and concert with Septic Flesh in which we performed at the support. Tracks got good reviews from metalheads as well as from a number of other press publications...
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We cooperate with a number of musical formations, both domestic and foreign for example after the release of our second album our label will be to promote on the territory of the post soviet states. Our tracks from the EP "CLOUDED MIND" has been successfully in the rotation on the radio stations in the Uk, the USA, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Spain. I think their interest to our music is associated with good quality and proper management of the product, which we offer.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
About our activity we can say that it hit the key. As I have already said waiting for the release of the album, plans to shoot a clip for one of the new tracks, as well as the plan to make a small tour in support of this material.
