Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
On spring 2008 I Started to look for musicians for this band. I knew bass player Ardeath from My Earlier projects, so I asked if he was interested of new musical challenges. Ardeath joined immediately. Well Bass and guitar cannot form a band so I posted an ad to internet. Several applications came, but the most interesting of them was a message from a singer – even I wasn’t even looking for one. I decided to meet him anyway and after few short discussions, the new vocalist was Mojo. When Mojo realized what kind of music they were talking about, he dragged Ripper along him. A Drummer from his old band as he knew Ripper was the guy for the job.
In fall 2009 we started rehearsing and had little challenges ‘cause we did not have second guitarist. Fortunately we got Mr.Saw to play as a session-guitarist. I wanted a keyboardist, so I could concentrate just writing songs full-time. I found an ad from internet where keyboardist with really interesting musical background, was looking for a band. I contact with him and shortly Vulvus joined the band.
Soon also My friend Lily Orlok joined the band as full-time second guitarist.
MMD was formed.
On spring we 2009 entered D-Studio in Klaukkala, Finland to record the first proof of our existence. we recorded 3 song promo, and we send it to Zines, Radio Stations etc. The main goal for that recording was only to receive gigs, it’s easier.
Vulvus left the band on December 2009 . It was relative bad time cause we enterer in to the D-studio guite soon after that and I think our music needs keyboards. So only choice was that I have to play synths in that EP. After release we have now played several gigs and rehearsing new tunes. We are also looking for new synth player for MMD.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music? Music is melodic mixture of Death/Black metal, with touch of industrial elements. I think this describe our Hybrid metal well
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Why Stealing if you like band? And only way to really support band is to buy their stuff.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released one Promo (Promo -09) and One EP (Words of Dead God). Media has act as usually some has like really lot and some have not.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we play live. We have played so far about 15 gigs , it’s relative lot , but I see gigs are the best way to spread message from band. We are always looking for more gigs.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are always looking for new opportunities to get more fans to our stuff. If labels are looking for hard working band, you can count on us.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We rehearse now new tunes, play few gigs and we have planned to enter studio to record full length album 2011.
