Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Our debut album is called “Dagon” and was self-released on cd format in 2012. Just recently (September 2014) Witches Brew Records released the LP version of the album, including one exclusive bonus track!
As fervent supporters of the analog format, everyone in the band is truly pleased with the vinyl release and current evolution of the band, so our gratitude goes out to Cheryl/Witches Brew for believing in us!

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
In general we can be labeled as old school Doom/Death Metal. We do not intend to reinvent the old habits of the genre, so naturally one can hear a certain influence here and there. However, everyone in the band has its own musical background and contributes to the songwriting. That’s why we usually do not fit between the boundaries of a certain genre. We’ve seen a bunch of reviews pass along now, some are dropping names like Black Sabbath, Dismember, Entombed, Celtic Frost, etc. so we’re not complaining!

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The album was recorded in 5 days at Hearse studio. It’s close to where we live and the manager is a personal friend of ours, so that makes it a lot easier for us to deal with. Recording an album is a different sensation as f.i. rehearsing. It’s a lot more punctual, whereas rehearsing is just plugging in and let the magic of the moment take over!
No groundbreaking stories, but there are always unforeseen occurrences  linked to a recording session. As for “Dagon”, it turned out that a lot more people did guest vocals as initially intended… Also the hidden track on the CD-version was an inspiration of the moment!

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The lyrical concept revolves around the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, and as consequence also the artwork. The cover for “Dagon” is a digital painting by Vance Kelly. It figures the god Dagon appearing before a cult of female worshipers, kneeling before him in awe. We just shared some lyrics and music with Vance and furthermore let his imagination prevail… the end result speaks for itself!

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
What we aim for is to keep the Tyrant’s Kall steamroller at full throttle now and continue to promote our name with good heavy tunes of Doom… and hopefully get the credit we think we deserve.
At the moment we have just finished recording our second full-length album, which will be entitled  “Gla’aki”, so our followers are in for a treat this winter. This album will be released as CD/LP on Witches Brew Records. Hopefully we’re getting some opportunities to promote our music live, so some concerts abroad would be great!

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The self-financed CD is limited to 500 copies, and so is the LP version - 250 on black vinyl and 250 on splattered green/black vinyl. No tape version, no digital version.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
On the 25th of October we’re doing a vinyl release-show in Bruges. No confirmed concerts after that, so feel free to book us!

Where can we order it from?
You can order the LP directly from the label or its distributors. Check www.witchesbrewthrashes.eu for more info.
The CD is still available from us directly for €10 + postage. Yet very limited quantities left, so be quick or be dead!
