Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We are a bunch of friend that knew each other by playing D&D. We realized that we also liked metal so we started to hang-out and jam together. We started to write some songs that would later be recorded on our Demo in 2009 I think. Lucas joined the party later. We knew him because he played with other bands that we played with at the time. Thom later joined the band for 2 albums, Lost in The North and Refill, then left due to his allegiance to her majesty the Queen and the urgent need to hunt down terrorist in Middle-Earth... I mean the Middle-East... We kept on playing and writing new songs and then RapThor came out. That's the story so far!
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I would say we are now Black-Folk Metal. Bands that inspired us would be Finntroll, Moonsorrow, Ensiferum and Korpiklaani on our earlier release, but you can feel way more black metal influences on the new album, like Windir, Immortal and Dissection to name a few.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Well if you are into folk metal and are tired of that happy crap that is re-done over and over each year and you need something that hits like a kick in the balls I would say go and buy RapThor.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
All our releases have been well received to date actually even if they are quite different from one to another. RapThor is the one to have the best reviews so far and our fans seem to be really happy of the results.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We have been playing live since 2009. It's always great to hear the crowd sing your songs and drink beer while listening to it. It never gets old. We hope we can keep on doing it for many more years!
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Well I would say just because we are not those serious dude that never smile and try to look tough... We just like to party and play our music for people that are up for a good time. We also play a more extreme folk metal than what the scene is currently offering.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We have nothing major coming up and we stay open to ideas and opportunity. Patience is the key in this type of situation but we are looking forward to make a little tour or something!
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
