Review:
Noclear Armageddon was initially released in 2003 on CD by Agonia Records and had a serious print-run and distribution, so it might puzzle a bit to see it re-released and on CD again, but unlike many of nowadays cases, this one has at least one valid reason and David "Impious" Larsson, the band's founding member explains these reasons in detail and brutal honesty through this CD booklet liner notes (the guy has tremendous potential in writing these memories and getting all your attention so it would be cool if he would think of writing some sort of a book about the band, too... I'd buy it for sure); to cut it short while still avoiding spoilers, on this new edition out on Cryptorium we get 3 extra tracks, two covers plus a third that's a hidden track, and all were supposed to be featured on (one of) the original edition. We also get a second CD made of 15 tracks recorded live during two festivals they attended those days (2001 in Sweden and 2002 in Czechia) where they played with different line-ups the band being in a perpetuum turmoil regarding line-up changes in those years. So a double-CD digipak release with a 12 pages booklet featuring liner notes by Impious and David Larson, a bunch of disgusting photos from those days, and on top of that a completely new cover artwork, way better than the original. Music-wise you know what to expect, complete Black Death debauchery, fast, technical and energetic as fuck, but also with a few slow melodic passages here and there. Definitely worth your bucks, it's limited to only 500 copies and I have a feeling they won't last forever...
