Review:
The band was formed in 2015 and this is their debut album, following up their self-released debut EP from 2016 which seems to have convinced Agoge Records to back the band for this album. We're getting here 9 tracks in 41 minutes of playing time, a mix between early 2000's Melodic Death Metal and early 2000's American Death Metal a la Lamb of God and the likes. Unfortunately in my case the band failed to convince; there are a few tracks where the guitar riffs are too repetitive and unexpressive, the drums pedal sounds really annoying, thin and synthetic and too upfront compare dto the rest of the instruments, and the overall production is a bit too dry for an Epic Death Metal sound, a bombastic, majestic, wide production would have been more appropiate for this album in my opinion, then there are some breakdown attempts that are absolutely unsuccessful, too. Don't get me wrong, this is a good band, their compositional level is ok and it's clear they have more potential than show on this debut, but I simply think they sound much better and engaging live than on this record, and the video recordings from live gigs posten on their Facebook page are the right proof.
