Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Plague Weaver was created in December 2018. The original idea was to create music in the vein of old school Black metal … bands like old Samael, Varathron, Rotting Christ mixed with my other musical influences coming from Death/Doom metal. A debut self-titled EP was released in 2019 and is followed up in 2020 with the EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes”.Plague Weaver is a solo project, but there are plans to create a live lineup for performances.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
It's Blackened Doom metal with a sickening atmosphere. My music is mostly influenced by Rotting Christ, Varathron, old Samael, Triptykon, Dissection. Also dark/ambient and ritual music.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If you're looking for a mix of slow and heavy passages mixed with fast melodic riffing and everything covered in dark, sick atmosphere, this stuff is for you. Our Bandcamp page has 'name your price' tag so you can choose if you want to support our music.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far we released debut, self-titled EP (March 2019) and "Through the Sulphur Eyes" EP (January 2020). Both were well received by fans and zines, resulting in many good reviews.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
At the moment I'm trying to establish a full line up for performances. Hopefully, I will be able soon to play some live gigs, I'm looking forward to it.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Plague Weaver's music is a blend of Black, Doom and some Death elements with emphasis on dark atmosphere.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
At the moment I'm working on a full-length debut album ( almost half is already finished ) aiming for an end of the year release.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to it on our Bandcamp page. Its also available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services. The physical CD you can buy on band's Bandcamp and our distributors ( full list of distros is available on our page)
