Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Samuli: Hi! The new release is called: Soulmates and there is 4 songs on it. We made this EP in a short time, so I´m pretty happy what we have done so far.
Julia: The name Soulmates tells about finding a true soulmate who really understands you and what you want to do in your life. For us it´s music and love. All the tracks are made with catchy popstyle choruses as Samuli said, and we wanted to do contrast between verses and choruses and wanted to do everything in our own way. Samuli has made a lot of metal music before and I have done pop and rock music, so we wanted to bring these two elements together. I´m very happy what we have done and this project and growling was new for me, so I have learned a lot.
How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Samuli: We call this Melodic death pop metal. We have heavy riffs, catchy choruses, female growls and clean vocals.
Julia: Our music is not just for metal fans. I think that also pop and rock music fans can listen to our music. I don´t know if you have heard anything like this before...I don´t know if it reminds any other band. Of course cause I´m growling it may sound a little bit like arch enemy or some band where is low female growls and screames, but I think that the popstyle choruses makes it very different to typical melodic death metal bands.
Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
Julia: All the songs we recorded in our living room :D It was very fun. It was a lazy sunday when Samuli just asked me can I growl? I was like...well I can try. I found it a quite easy for my voice and after that we started to compose the first song called: Give me you soul. This song was ready in one day, of course we mixed it after. Other songs we made later and they also came quite quickly. We do everything by our selves. Samuli has made the mixing and editing and I have told my opinion. I´m studying my first year to become an audio engineer, so maybe in a future I can also help with mixing the songs.
Samuli: I think Julia said it all.
What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
Samuli: Original cover drawing is made by Graphic artist Angat Calavera from Mexico and Logo for us made by Victoria Pelejero from Argentina. We made all digital editings by ourself. I would say that there is some link between even that wasn't main point for this now.
Julia: I write all our lyrics and they come from my own experiences. All the songs are love songs on this EP. The first song is called: Give me your soul. It is a starter song for this EP. It tells about how soul meets another soul and how we met with Samuli and how it feels when you have someone you really love. Second song is called: Everything. It tells about when love goes forward and how everything feels so good to be near to someone who understands you so well. Third song is called: What tomorrow brings. It tells about how people should always remember what they have and not forget people who they love. It also tells that you shouldn´t give up if you haven´t found the right person for you. It´s very important to tell how you feel to your loved ones, because you really don´t know what tomorrow brings. Last song is called: Till death do us part. And the name tells what it´s all about. It tells about how to love someone till the end of our lifes and how you really want to be with someone and respect what you have.
What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Julia: We hope that people will find our music and will find our band. I believe that there is so much people who have the same passion for music as we do. When we release this EP, we will start to compose new music right away and hopefully we release a full album this year. Later we hope that we find good musicians to play with us, that we can do some great live shows also.
Samuli: Yes..like Julia said, we hope that people will find our music and so on. Things has started with this band pretty well I would say and we would like to gain some audience through this EP.
Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
Julia: Samuli can answer to this :)

Live shows are really important to do, but at the moment we don't have live line up yet. So we are focused to promote other way.
