Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was set up by Paul in 2006, he is the master mind behind it all, does all the writing, recording, mix and master and has even compiled all the imagery etc for the band, Mike does drums and me, Iain does guitars. We have all toured and recorded extensively in other bands over the last 10-15 years, we have been friends for over 10 years and the time was right for this line up for Zebadiah Crowe, and made sense to work together, I have been a fan of the band and have shared the stage and tour buses many times, so to get the opportunity to play in ZC is a really cool thing, I know Mike feels the same way, even although the music can be rather challenging in places for all parties :)
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
To be honest, I would much rather the listener decided that, and to be fair, it can be bad for a band to say we are grind, or death or industrial for example, I understand why you ask this, and I understand it is a necessary evil to guide listeners in that may enjoy your music, but we have a band camp site, please have a listen to the tracks and if you enjoy it great, lets not analyse it too much, especially if the music makes you feel a particular way that makes you want to listen again.
If you held a gun to my head, I'd say, LOUD!!!
Go check out the bandcamp! Make up your own minds! Be leaders not followers!
We are all influenced by a wide cross section of extreme and underground music, but as Paul writes the music, its probably best to quote the music he listens to most which is Ministry, Morbid Angel, GGFH and loads more, he is also influenced by H.P. Lovecraft.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Why wouldn't they?
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have 3 full length albums, 1 live and 1 split. most of the physical stock has sold out and the download albums are moving fairly steadily, so yeah, its sold well and was well received there have been some rave reviews too to be honest.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, its very much about playing live for us, Zebadiah Crowe has toured Europe several times and toured with Grave, Vader, Marduk, Gorgoroth and done enough of the usual small gigs in between the tours. the band has been very active, we like to play live, loud and sweat.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We don't really feel the need to justify ourselves.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We tour europe with Deicide soon, and we have more releases in the pipeline with lots of our own gigs.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
