Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Well, the bands history dates back to 2003 when Bo and Lars started messing around with riffs and songs. At the time Lars played drums. In 2004 Martin joined the band on drums and Lars switched to guitar. The tree musketeers rehearsed for a couple of years, writing songs and defining the musical direction of the band. In 2007 the musketeers decided to include our very own D´artagnan - Kasper on vocals. More songs where made and in 2009 the guys decided it was time to make a professional recording - The "Through Carrion Eyes" EP. Though still in need for a kindred spirit to handle the bass guitar the guys tapped me for the recording. The recording went really good and in a very Schwarzenegger-like fashion Bo proposed me to ´stick around´ which I did - still enjoying the presence of the fellas and leaching of their creativity.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
The style can be described as mid-paced death metal with a good hint of thrash and black metal. A lot of bands inspire us but to name a few: The Crown, Dimmu Borgir, Mastodon, Morbid Angel, Metallica, Spawn of Possession just to name a few... al in all we draw a lot of different inspiration but all are very fond of death metal.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We thing we have something interesting to contribute and you have to listen for through the tracks a bunch of times to catch all the little details which we love to fiddle around with - and the playing is air-tight. The lyrical theme is also very interesting and there is a LOT of lyrics to dig in and enjoy.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released the EP officially through a danish label - Gateway Music - with European distribution. We have released a couple of old singles on our Facebook and Myspace (some outtakes which have a bit different feel than the the tracks on the EP) - hopefully more will follow within a reasonable timeframe.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we do - and loving it! We have played a handful of shows so far - among a support gig for the Canadian act Kittie on a bigger venue here in Denmark. We are heading out on the road again this spring and currently booking shows for the autumn as well - working a bit on the german market etc. Hopefully we will have a european tour within the next couple of years.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Well we are very focused on quality, writing killer tunes and serious about our band-business and hence would be a good band to have on a label rooster - we put on a good show and delivers every time.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are currently writing our asses of for a forthcoming debut full length record - we have a handful of killer tunes so now we just need a handful more but quality is first priority for us. Then we are preparing for the road - you can see a bit rehearsal video on our Youtube channel - so we can blow peoples mind with our furious death metal.
